Qur'an In Quran / Islam (Chapters / Verses of Qur'an in Quran / Islam)

Do they not then consider the Quran carefully? Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much contradictions. (Quran 4:82)
Wherewith Allah guides all those who seek His Good Pleasure to ways of peace, and He brings them out of darkness by His Will unto light and guides them to a Straight Way (Islamic Monotheism). (Quran 5:16)
So, when the Quran is recited, listen to it, and be silent that you may receive mercy. (i.e. during the compulsory congregational prayers when the Imam (of a mosque) is leading the prayer (except Soorat Al-Fatiha), and also when he is delivering the Friday-prayer Khutbah). (Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol.9, Pages 162-4) (Quran 7:204)
Verily, Allah has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties; for the price that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allahs Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the Quran. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success. (Quran 9:111)
And when Our Clear Verses are recited unto them, those who hope not for their meeting with Us, say: Bring us a Quran other than this, or change it."Say (O Muhammad SAW): "It is not for me to change it on my own accord; I only follow that which is revealed unto me. Verily, I fear if I were to disobey my Lord, the torment of the Great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)." (Quran 10:15)
Or they say, "He (Prophet Muhammad SAW) forged it (the Quran)." Say: "Bring you then ten forged Soorah (chapters) like unto it, and call whomsoever you can, other than Allah (to your help), if you speak the truth!" (Quran 11:13)
If then they answer you not, know then that the Revelation (this Quran) is sent down with the Knowledge of Allah and that La ilaha illa Huwa: (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! Will you then be Muslims (those who submit to Islam)? (Quran 11:14)
We relate unto you (Muhammad SAW) the best of stories through Our Revelations unto you, of this Quran. And before this (i.e. before the coming of Divine Inspiration to you), you were among those who knew nothing about it (the Quran). (Quran 12:3)
And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Soorat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. (Quran 15:87)
Who have made the Quran into parts. (i.e. believed in a part and disbelieved in the other). (Quran 15:91)
So when you want to recite the Quran, seek refuge with Allah from Shaitan (Satan), the outcast (the cursed one). (Quran 16:98)
Verily, this Quran guides to that which is most just and right and gives glad tidings to the believers (in the Oneness of Allah and His Messenger, Muhammad SAW, etc.). who work deeds of righteousness, that they shall have a great reward (Paradise). (Quran 17:9)
And surely, We have explained (Our Promises, Warnings and (set forth many) examples) in this Quran that they (the disbelievers) may take heed, but it increases them in naught save aversion. (Quran 17:41)
And when you (Muhammad SAW) recite the Quran, We put between you and those who believe not in the Hereafter, an invisible veil (or screen their hearts, so they hear or understand it not). (Quran 17:45)
And We have put coverings over their hearts lest, they should understand it (the Quran), and in their ears deafness. And when you make mention of your Lord Alone (La ilaha ill-Allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah) Islamic Monotheism ()) in the Quran, they turn on their backs, fleeing in extreme dislikeness. (Quran 17:46)
And (remember) when We told you: "Verily! Your Lord has encompassed mankind (i.e. they are in His Grip)." And We made not the vision which we showed you (O Muhammad as an actual eye-witness and not as a dream on the night of Al-Isra) but a trial for mankind, and likewise the accursed tree (Zaqqoom, mentioned) in the Quran. We warn and make them afraid but it only increases them in naught save great disbelief, oppression and disobedience to Allah. (Quran 17:60)
And We send down from the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism and act on it), and it increases the Zalimoon (polytheists and wrong-doers) nothing but loss. (Quran 17:82)
Say: "If the mankind and the jinns were together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another." (Quran 17:88)
And indeed We have fully explained to mankind, in this Quran, every kind of similitude, but most mankind refuse (the truth and accept nothing) but disbelief. (Quran 17:89)
And indeed We have put forth every kind of example in this Quran, for mankind. But, man is ever more quarrelsome than anything. (Quran 18:54)
We have not sent down the Quran unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, (Quran 20:2)
Then High above all be Allah, the True King. And be not in haste (O Muhammad SAW) with the Quran before its revelation is completed to you, and say: "My Lord! Increase me in knowledge." (Quran 20:114)
And those who accuse chaste women, and produce not four witnesses, flog them with eighty stripes, and reject their testimony forever, they indeed are the Fasiqoon (liars, rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (Quran 25:4)
And for those who accuse their wives, but have no witnesses except themselves, let the testimony of one of them be four testimonies (i.e. testifies four times) by Allah that he is one of those who speak the truth. (Quran 25:6)
Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.). That is purer for them. Verily, Allah is All-Aware of what they do. (Quran 25:30)
And marry those among you who are single (i.e. a man who has no wife and the woman who has no husband) and (also marry) the Salihoon (pious, fit and capable ones) of your (male) slaves and maid-servants (female slaves). If they be poor, Allah will enrich them out of His Bounty. And Allah is All-Sufficent for His creatures needs, All-Knowing (about the state of the people). (Quran 25:32)
Ta-Seen. (These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings). These are the Verses of the Quran, and (it is) a Book (that makes things) clear; (Quran 27:1)
And verily, you (O Muhammad SAW) are receiving the Quran from the One, All-Wise, All-Knowing. (Quran 27:6)
Verily, this Quran narrates to the Children of Israel most of that about which they differ. (Quran 27:76)
And to recite the Quran, so whosoever receives guidance, receives it for the good of his ownself, and whosoever goes astray, say (to him): "I am only one of the warners." (Quran 27:92)
Verily, He Who has given you (O Muhammad SAW) the Quran (i.e. ordered you to act on its laws and to preach it to others) will surely bring you back to the Maad (place of return, either to Makkah or to Paradise after your death, etc.). Say (O Muhammad SAW): "My Lord is Aware of him who brings guidance, and he who is in manifest error." (Quran 28:85)
And indeed We have set forth for mankind, in this Quran every kind of parable. But if you (O Muhammad SAW) bring to them any sign or proof, (as an evidence for the truth of your Prophethood), the disbelievers are sure to say (to the believers): "You follow nothing but falsehood, and magic." (Quran 30:58)
And those who disbelieve say: "We believe not in this Quran nor in that which was before it," but if you could see when the Zalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers, etc.) will be made to stand before their Lord, how they will cast the (blaming) word one to another! Those who were deemed weak will say to those who were arrogant: "Had it not been for you, we should certainly have been believers!" (Quran 34:31)
By the Quran, full of wisdom (i.e. full of laws, evidences, and proofs), (Quran 36:2)
Sad (These letters (Sad etc.) are one of the miracles of the Quran and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings). By the Quran full of reminding. (Quran 38:1)
And indeed We have put forth for men, in this Quran every kind of similitude in order that they may remember. (Quran 39:27)
And those who disbelieve say: "Listen not to this Quran, and make noise in the midst of its (recitation) that you may overcome." (Quran 41:26)
And if We had sent this as a Quran in a foreign language other than Arabic, they would have said: "Why are not its Verses explained in detail (in our language)? What! (A Book) not in Arabic and (the Messenger) an Arab?" Say: "It is for those who believe, a guide and a healing. And as for those who disbelieve, there is heaviness (deafness) in their ears, and it (the Quran) is blindness for them. They are those who are called from a place far away (so they neither listen nor understand). (Quran 41:44)
And thus We have inspired unto you (O Muhammad SAW) a Quran (in Arabic) that you may warn the Mother of the Towns (Makkah) and all around it. And warn of the Day of Assembling, of which there is no doubt, when a party will be in Paradise (those who believed in Allah and followed what Allahs Messenger SAW brought them) and a party in the blazing Fire (Hell) (those who disbelieved in Allah and followed not what Allahs Messenger SAW brought them) (Quran 42:7)
And they say: "Why is not this Quran sent down to some great man of the two towns (Makkah and Taif)?" (Quran 43:31)
And before this was the Scripture of Moosa (Moses) as a guide and a mercy. And this is a confirming Book (the Quran) in the Arabic language, to warn those who do wrong, and as glad tidings to the Muhsinoon (good-doers - see V.2:112). (Quran 46:12)
And (remember) when We sent towards you (Muhammad SAW) Nafran (three to ten persons) of the jinns, (quietly) listening to the Quran, when they stood in the presence thereof, they said: "Listen in silence!" And when it was finished, they returned to their people, as warners. (Quran 46:29)
Do they not then think deeply in the Quran, or are their hearts locked up (from understanding it)? (Quran 47:24)
Qaf. (These letters (Qaf, etc.) are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings). By the Glorious Quran. (Quran 50:1)
We know of best what they say; and you (O Muhammad SAW) are not a tyrant over them (to force them to Belief). But warn by the Quran, him who fears My Threat. (Quran 50:45)
And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? (Quran 54:22)
And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? (Quran 54:32)
And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? (Quran 54:40)
Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). (Quran 55:2)
So I swear by Mawaqi (setting or the mansions, etc.) of the stars (they traverse). (Quran 56:75)
Had We sent down this Quran on a mountain, you would surely have seen it humbling itself and rending asunder by the fear of Allah. Such are the parables which We put forward to mankind that they may reflect . (Quran 59:21)
That this is verily the word of an honoured Messenger (i.e. Jibrael (Gabriel) or Muhammad SAW which he has brought from Allah). (Quran 69:40)
Or a little more; and recite the Quran (aloud) in a slow, (pleasant tone and) style . (Quran 73:4)
Verily, your Lord knows that you do stand (to pray at night) a little less than two-thirds of the night, or half the night, or a third of the night, and so do a party of those with you, And Allah measures the night and the day. He knows that you are unable to pray the whole night, so He has turned to you (in mercy). So, recite you of the Quran as much as may be easy for you. He knows that there will be some among you sick, others travelling through the land, seeking of Allahs Bounty; yet others fighting in Allahs Cause. So recite as much of the Quran as may be easy (for you), and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat, and lend to Allah a goodly loan, and whatever good you send before you for yourselves, (i.e. Nawafil non-obligatory acts of worship: prayers, charity, fasting, Hajj and Umrah, etc.), you will certainly find it with Allah, better and greater in reward. And seek Forgiveness of Allah. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful. (Quran 73:20)
Verily! It is We Who have sent down the Quran to you (O Muhammad SAW) by stages. (Quran 76:23)
And when the Quran is recited to them, they fall not prostrate, (Quran 84:21)
We sent it (this Quran) down on a blessed night ((i.e. night of Qadr, Soorah No: 97) in the month of Ramadan,, the 9th month of the Islamic calendar). Verily, We are ever warning (mankind that Our Torment will reach those who disbelieve in Our Oneness of Lordship and in Our Oneness of worship). (Quran 44:3)
Verily! We have sent it (this Quran) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) (Quran 97:1)
And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is? (Quran 97:2)
The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, i.e. 83 years and 4 months). (Quran 97:3)
Therein descend the angels and the Rooh (Jibrael (Gabriel)) by Allahs Permission with all Decrees, (Quran 97:4)
Peace! (All that night, there is Peace and Goodness from Allah to His believing slaves) until the appearance of dawn. (Quran 97:5)
And (remember) the Day when We shall raise up from every nation a witness against them from amongst themselves. And We shall bring you (O Muhammad SAW) as a witness against these. And We have sent down to you the Book (the Quran) as an exposition of everything, a guidance, a mercy, and glad tidings for those who have submitted themselves (to Allah as Muslims). (Quran 16:89)
Containing correct and straight laws from Allah. (Quran 98:3)
Forbidden to you (for food) are: Al-Maytatah (the dead animals - cattle-beast not slaughtered), blood, the flesh of swine, and the meat of that which has been slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allah, or has been slaughtered for idols, etc., or on which Allahs Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering, and that which has been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by the goring of horns - and that which has been (partly) eaten by a wild animal - unless you are able to slaughter it (before its death) and that which is sacrificed (slaughtered) on AnNusub (stone altars). (Forbidden) also is to use arrows seeking luck or decision, (all) that is Fisqun (disobedience of Allah and sin). This day, those who disbelieved have given up all hope of your religion, so fear them not, but fear Me. This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But as for him who is forced by severe hunger, with no inclination to sin (such can eat these above-mentioned meats), then surely, Allah is OftForgiving, Most Merciful. (Quran 5:3)
O Messenger (Muhammad SAW)! Let not those who hurry to fall into disbelief grieve you, of such who say: "We believe" with their mouths but their hearts have no faith. And of the Jews are men who listen much and eagerly to lies - listen to others who have not come to you. They change the words from their places; they say, "If you are given this, take it, but if you are not given this, then beware!" And whomsoever Allah wants to put in AlFitnah (error, because of his rejecting the Faith), you can do nothing for him against Allah. Those are the ones whose hearts Allah does not want to purify (from disbelief and hypocrisy); for them there is a disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a great torment. (Quran 5:41)
Certainly, We have made this (Quran) easy in your tongue, in order that they may remember. (Quran 44:58)
And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures (i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)) of former people. (Quran 26:196)
It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), (Quran 75:17)
The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Saum (fasts) that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number (of days which one did not observe Saum (fasts) must be made up) from other days. Allah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you. (He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify Allah (i.e. to say Takbeer (Allahu-Akbar; Allah is the Most Great) on seeing the crescent of the months of Ramadan and Shawwal) for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him. (Quran 2:185)
Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. (Quran 53:3)
And if he (Muhammad SAW) had forged a false saying concerning Us (Allah), (Quran 69:44)
Stand (to pray) all night, except a little. (Quran 73:2)
Half of it, or a little less than that, (Quran 73:3)
Verily, We shall send down to you a weighty Word (i.e. obligations, legal laws, etc.). (Quran 73:5)
Verily, the rising by night (for Tahajjud prayer) is very hard and most potent and good for governing (the soul), and most suitable for (understanding) the Word (of Allah). (Quran 73:6)
And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). (Quran 81:25)
And We have not taught him (Muhammad SAW) poetry, nor is it meet for him. This is only a Reminder and a plain Quran. (Quran 36:69)
It is not the word of a poet, little is that you believe! (Quran 69:41)
He it is Who sent among the unlettered ones a Messenger (Muhammad SAW) from among themselves, reciting to them His Verses, purifying them (from the filth of disbelief and polytheism), and teaching them the Book (this Quran, Islamic laws and Islamic jurisprudence) and Al-Hikmah (As-Sunnah: legal ways, orders, acts of worship, etc. of Prophet Muhammad SAW). And verily, they had been before in mainfest error; (Quran 62:2)
Verily, We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran in order that you may understand. (Quran 12:2)
And thus have We sent it (the Quran) down to be a judgement of authority in Arabic. Were you (O Muhammad SAW) to follow their (vain) desires after the knowledge which has come to you, then you will not have any Walee (protector) or defender against Allah. (Quran 13:37)
And indeed We know that they (polytheists and pagans) say: "It is only a human being who teaches him (Muhammad SAW)." The tongue of the man they refer to is foreign, while this (the Quran) is a clear Arabic tongue. (Quran 16:103)
And thus We have sent it down as a Quran in Arabic, and have explained therein in detail the warnings, in order that they may fear Allah, or that it may cause them to have a lesson from it (or to have the honour for believing and acting on its teachings). (Quran 20:113)
In the plain Arabic language. (Quran 26:195)
An Arabic Quran, without any crookedness (therein) in order that they may avoid all evil which Allah has ordered them to avoid, fear Him and keep their duty to Him. (Quran 39:28)
A Book whereof the Verses are explained in detail; A Quran in Arabic for people who know. (Quran 41:3)
We verily, have made it a Quran in Arabic, that you may be able to understand (its meanings and its admonitions). (Quran 43:3)
Certainly, We have made this (Quran) easy in your tongue, in order that they may remember. (Quran 44:58)
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. (Quran 77:1)
It is He Who has sent down to you (Muhammad SAW) the Book (this Quran). In it are Verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book (and those are the Verses of Al-Ahkam (commandments, etc.), Al-Faraid (obligatory duties) and Al-Hudud (legal laws for the punishment of thieves, adulterers, etc.)); and others not entirely clear. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials, etc.), and seeking for its hidden meanings, but none knows its hidden meanings save Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in it; the whole of it (clear and unclear Verses) are from our Lord." And none receive admonition except men of understanding. (Tafsir At-Tabaree). (Quran 3:7)
Those who believe say: "Why is not a Soorah (chapter of the Quran) sent down (for us)? But when a decisive Soorah (explaining and ordering things) is sent down, and fighting (Jihad holy fighting in Allahs Cause) is mentioned (i.e. ordained) therein, you will see those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) looking at you with a look of one fainting to death. But it was better for them (hypocrites, to listen to Allah and to obey Him). (Quran 47:20)
And they say: "Tales of the ancients, which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon." (Quran 25:5)
Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, (Quran 85:21)
(Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfooz (The Preserved Tablet)! (Quran 85:22)
